Strange smell
I’m not sure if I just got a bad batch or something but I don’t think it’s supposed to smell the way it does. Mine smells like something was left out in the hot sun for a few days and spoiled. Elf is usually great when it comes to smells so this surprised me which makes me think the batch was bad

Bring back the old one!
I used the satin finish foundation for years and they took it away and brought this new formula. It’s terrible. The old one lasted through time and my aging skin. This one takes more product and doesn’t blend as well. It’s sticky and you have to use a setting powder to hold it in place. Please bring back the old formula! The packaging is also plastic and not glass like the old. It doesn’t protect the product as well as glass.

Great light weight foundation that doesn’t oxidize . I have freckles and don’t want to necessarily cover them up . Great all day wear even after a shower .

No makeup makeup
This is so good on my face, tan/neutral, in my 70s, just gives my skin a little brightening and softens any freckle-like discoloration. I use a primer and it goes on smooth and easy with tips of fingers, no creasing. Perfect because I don't like heavier foundation, I like a barely made up look:)

Love it!
I was hesitating to try this for ages, as I loved the old satin foundation, but decided to give it a try and I LOVE it. I have oily/combination skin and this has such a lovely finish. Great medium coverage, but can also build it more.

This foundation absolutely blew my mind! I’ve spent SOO much money on expensive foundations that do absolutely nothing for my face and skin. But once I gave in a started trying drug store brands I was absolutely floored at how well this foundation works and how much I actually use and love it!!
